Welcome to the White Horse Riders web site. This web site is dedicated to a once
little known group of three who decided to fight the middle age spread and get
out of there pits on Sunday morning rain or shine. Their numbers have swollen now
reaching double figures.
The rides usually take place around the local area, take a look at our
routes.
A battle cry commences the ride with a "shall we go half an hour earlier" from Dynamo
Ed and a reply of "bloody hell. You've got to be joking from the rest of us".
Don't let the apathy fool you folks, rides are never short of twenty five miles
with a few stonking hills to boot. We have, as you may have noticed in the team
"The Stig" some say that he has been sponsored by Brian Curtis, some say he is the
number one stunt rider in Westbury but most say he's all washed up and can't get
it up on Sunday mornings. We will let you know the out come on our resident trick
rider. The rest of us are more cross country and road riders than down hill racers.
If that appeals to you and you come for the ride with the White Horse Riders.
One of our original three is fighting a battle against cancer, part of this site
"The Long Neigh Up" has become a challenge for the rest us and we hope to raise
money for research into this cruel disease. We all have our fingers crossed that
he lives up to his nic-name the cat and carries on beating the odds and re-joins
our Sunday rides as our very own Lance Armstrong. Please take a look at this
link
for more information.
